There are many ways we support our community here in Hugo.

Last year we focused on 50 Acts of Service in the Hugo Community, in celebration of our 50th Anniversary here in Hugo.

Community Events

Kids N Biz Event with Hugo Business Assoc  Saturday April 18, 2026    9 a.m - Noon  
Fun and Free event for families especially, but anyone can come and see what is available in Hugo!

Fix-it-Clinic - Saturday May 16,  2026, 9 a.m. Noon & Sept TBA  
- About Washington County Fix-It Clinics:
These events are designed to promote the spirit of reuse, reduce unnecessary waste, and empower our community to extend the lifespan of their belongings. It can also get your aging appliances back up and running so YOU don't have to spend $$ on new ones.  Carry in only.  (No cars, large appliances or Lawn tractors)

Hugo Good Neighbors Days  June -  We offer our parking lot FREE on Saturday for folks wanting to attend the parade while we are in the parade!  On Sunday, we have outdoor worship, picnic & fellowship.

National Night Out - Thursday August 4, 2026,  6-8 p.m.   FREE Bounce house, Root Beer Floats, Popcorn, face painting Games, meet local Police and Fire Fighters.  FREE Drawing for prizes.

Used-a-Bit Sale - September Date TBA: 
You can score some GREAT deals on gently used items, plants, money donated to various organizations in our community

Trunk 'N Treat - Saturday October 31, 2026 1pm - 3- Fun for everyone!

We offer Places to Gather with Friends and Family

Adopt-a-Highway sponsor for Frenchman Road/County Road 8.  We pick up trash twice a year with the youth.

Narcotics Anonymous Support Group   Weekly meetings on Tuesday, 7 p.m. Come as you are

Red Cross Blood Drive  1-2 times a year

St. Andrews Family Shelter  We sponsor the shelter with funds from our St Andrews Shelter aluminum can collection - in our parking lot, a big 'ole container for all your aluminum cans!

Hugo "Good Neighbors" Food Shelf  -  Monthly collection of food  ~ Total for 2025   300 pounds and $200! We have also helped support fund drive events with special contributions of items to auction.

Womens Life Care Center  -  Pregnancy Support - Yearly fund drive in January.
